What lies ahead...

What lies ahead? Who knows? A lot of my plans have taken a back seat the first half of this year due to the demands of teaching and health issues. I teach at a tremendosly challanging high school. The beginning of the school year was incredibly tough! But as the months passed things improved as I got used to routine. I even managed to perhaps get a few students to appreciate art. As a teacher I think I felt as though I would really change people through art, but I quickly learned that if someone doesn't want to change or if they don't appreciate the value of education, it's nearly impossible to change that mindset. In the end, as a teacher all one can do is the best job they can and hope for the best. Around april I got zapped by some virus I picked up at school. It was awful! I ended up taking my second ambulance ride ever , because I got too dehydrated. I was out of commission for a good couple of weeks. Then just recently I experienced starnge dizzyness and a tingling sensation across my head. It freaked me out a bit. Thankfully, it's just really bad sinus. It's been a very damp summer here in Lower Michigan. I can't quite recall a day since may of this year where it has not rained at some point during the day. As, I'm popping the claritine and waiting for this latest setback to disappear, I 'm looking forward to getting back to my art making. It's been a few months since I really have painted. I think I will develop some sketches first.
