Hello.
I just had my first art show of the new year. It was a small gathering at a cafe. I was pleased with how it turned out and I got to chat with a few people that were really into the work. I'm looking forwrad to showing more soon.
I recently saw the film "Gran Torino". I think Clint Eastwood is a national treasure. I think the film was pretty realistic. It was supposedly set in metro Detroit, but to my knowledge we don't have a Hmong gang problem. However, I this film showed how young people have come increasingly disrespectful of their elders, tradition , and self. That's really what this film was about as well as change and forgiveness. The gang members manifested their disrepect through violence, where say Walt's family showed disrespect through their apathy and love of material things.
