ABSTRACT IT IS THEN.
So yesterday I got inspired by finding this documentary on a bunch of abstract artists who happened to be Black on youtube. One of them was the late Al Loving who was a mentor to me when I was in grad school years ago. So I decided to finally finish some paintings I started for a Vlog. I will be updating the vlog on my youtube channel probably next week. Anyhoo.. Here's a first look. It's about 11.5" x 15.5". I was so tempted to add collage, but I think I'm going to let this one stay a pure abstract painting. So what is it???? "As Jack Whitten would say, "It's paint on canvas, or in this case paint on paper!" Part a series I will call "Bank of America".
