APRIL PORTRAIT

I have started a new portrait that I will paint with acrylic. I believe the foundation  of a good portrait or realistic style painting is really in the drawing , be a pencil, charcoal or a paint brush itself.  Below is an  example of how I have started a new portrait. We will see where it goes from here next time.

IT'S NICE TO BE ASKED.

Well, last month I think I came the closest ever to gaining a teaching position at a college. However, for reasons beyond my control it fail through. There was some phone tag and they were supposed to contact me for an interview, but they never did. I can't begin to speculate why things fell through, but I guess things happen for a reason. Anyway, it was nice to at least receive an invitation to the dance. I'm sure there will be more opportunities to teach in the future.
